Ecological Planning for Nenjiangwan Wetland Park in Da’An City won top accolade – SG Mark Special Mention at Singapore Good Design Award (SG Mark) 2022. The award ceremony and gala dinner were held at the Cloud9 Piazza in Jewel Changi Airport on 25 August 2022.

SG Good Design launched by the Design Business Chamber Singapore (DBCS) in partnership with the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, recognise exceptional design quality that impacts businesses and communities in Singapore and beyond, it sets the benchmark of good design and quality. The awards were presented by Guest-of-honour Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment. Speaking on the importance of design in Singapore's nation-building, Ms Fu said: "The green and liveable home we enjoy in Singapore today was made possible by deliberate design, to carefully balance our needs for economic development while ensuring environmental protection and social inclusion." Mr Bai Yan, SCP Singapore GM and Mr Eric Tai, SCP Singapore Planning Manager, attended the award ceremony.

This year categories include product, architecture, interior design, experience design, digital solutions, branding, sustainable design and special category virtually unlimited. Ecological Planning for Nenjiangwan Wetland Park in Da’An City listed in the category of sustainable design is the only awarded planning and design project. This project also awarded Gold in Excellence in Planning for Environment Resiliency category at the 7th Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP) Awards 2021. 

Since SCP starts Ecological Planning for Nenjiangwan Wetland Park in Da’An City, Jilin Province, China in 2012, this ecologically fragile region with a weak economic foundation has acquired the ability to recover from risks and maintain momentum. SCP will continue to inject more innovative and sustainable elements into future planning projects!
